چکیده

Logic programs with possibilistic ordered disjunction (or LPPODs) are a recently defined logic-programming framework based on logic programs with ordered disjunction and possibilistic logic. The framework inherits the properties of such formalisms and merging them, it supports a reasoning which is nonmonotonic, preferenceand uncertain-aware. The LPPODs syntax allows to specify 1) preferences in a qualitative way, and 2) necessity values about the certainty of program clauses. As a result at semantic level, preferences and necessity values can be used to specify an order among program solutions. This class of program therefore fits well in the representation of decision problems where a best option has to be chosen taking into account both preferences and necessity measures about information. In this technical report we study the computation and the complexity of the LPPODs semantics and we describe the algorithm for its implementation following on Answer Set Programming approach. We describe some decision scenarios where the solver can be used to choose the best solutions by checking whether an outcome is possibilistically preferred over another considering preferences and uncertainty at the same time.

Implementing OCLP as a front-end for Answer Set Solvers: From Theory to Practice

Ordered Choice Logic Programming (OCLP) allows for preferencebased decision-making with multiple alternatives and without the burden of any form of negation. This complete absence of negation does not weaken the language as both forms (classical and as-failure) can be intuitively simulated in the language. The semantics of the language is based on the preference between alternatives, yielding b...

The draculasp System: Default Reasoning about Actions and Change Using Logic and Answer Set Programming

We present an implementation for nonmonotonic reasoning about action domains. Its name draculasp stands for “default reasoning about actions and change using logic and answer set programming.” The system compiles action domain specifications from a logic-based input language into answer set programs and invokes an ASP solver to answer queries about the domain. Intelligent agents can use dracula...

A finite-valued solver for disjunctive fuzzy answer set programs

Fuzzy Answer Set Programming (FASP) is a declarative programming paradigm which extends the flexibility and expressiveness of classical Answer Set Programming (ASP), with the aim of modeling continuous application domains. In contrast to the availability of efficient ASP solvers, there have been few attempts at implementing FASP solvers. In this paper, we propose an implementation of FASP based...

aspps - An Implementation of Answer-Set Programming with Propositional Schemata

We present an implementation of an answer-set programming paradigm, called aspps (short for answer-set programming with propositional schemata). The system aspps is designed to process PS +-theories. It consists of two basic modules. The first module, psgrnd, grounds an PS +-theory. The second module, referred to as aspps, is a solver. It computes models of ground PS +-theories.
